Activate Policies Within A Kingdom In Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. After creating a kingdom, which requires one to progress the campaign’s main quest line and reach clan tier three, players will be able to activate policies – a function that offers a wide variety of benefits to players’ kingdom, from income and influence bonuses to minimizing food consumption and bolstering vassal loyalty. If you don't want to join a faction try to get a higher clan tier. It can be hard to take a castle with 50 troops. Yes you can. I strongly recommend at least for a first play through is to stay a vassal. A lot of the stuff that makes having your own kingdom great, currently don’t work or haven’t been implemented yet.

The best way to raise Charm is to talk to every lord you meet and gift them 1 denar through barter interface. I had 2 pips in this skill, and for 10-50 it gave me 2 skill points per barter, then, for 50-90, 1 skill per barter. Afterwards, it's about 2 barters for 1 skill, but once I got to 125, I already got my kingdom.

I think when creating your character, the most useful faction/heritage to pick is Vlandian due to the troop experience gain. It's a nice addition for variety. Calradia Expanded Kingdoms - For extra mayhem, this mod requires Calradia Expanded and adds several new factions to the game with their own troop trees. Not compatible with Banner Lords. Realistic Battle Mod - At minimum the AI improvements are a must in my opinion. Additionally, if you over expand and take several cities/castles and dont grow your army, other factions will see you as an easy target and declare war*. Also, release lords you defeat in battle. This will build relations and level up your charm skill and make it much easier to recruit them later on.
